The Global Friendship
Program is an initiative aiming to encourage cross cultural friendships between
domestic and international students while offering both groups an opportunity
to get to know IU and establish a sense community here through a diverse support
network. Students will be placed in cohorts that will participate in monthly
large socials and biweekly smaller events with their group. Possible activities
include university sporting events, shows at the auditorium and at the IU
cinema, and other opportunities like hiking in Brown County and bowling with
friends in the IMU. Students will be supported in working towards their Hoosier
Experience Certificate, and by the end of the program will have made memories
and formed connections that will last well past their first year. Here is the application
