Student Organization for Cognitive Science (SOCS) Callout Meeting

Hello friends!

We hope you all had a great summer and are settling in on campus! As you’ve probably guessed, this is about the Student Organization for Cognitive Science callout meeting which you should mark on your calendars for Thursday, September 6th at 6:00 PM EST at PY 128. Here’s a handy link that will automatically add it to your Google Calendars.

We’re so excited to get back into the swing of things and have a lot of great things planned for the year, from discussing cutting-edge research in all areas of Cognitive Science (ie, Neuroscience to AI; Linguistics to Philosophy, and everything in between), to watching movies, having a bot write the next Harry Potter novel or Nickelback Song, and eating free pizza*. Most importantly, however, being with a great group of people all interested to some degree in CogSci.

Are your calendars marked and alarms set for Thursday, September 6th at 6:00 PM EST at PY 128? Great! If you are unfamiliar with the location, PY128 is right by the Psychology building main office. Also, feel free to subscribe to our listserv, (information on our website), for updates on meetings, related talks, volunteer opportunities and more. We also have a facebook group here if you prefer updates that way.

As always, we look forward to seeing you there, and let us know if you have any questions/comments/ideas/memes/etc.!

*All of humankind's research has come to two startling conclusions: 1. People love free stuff. 2. People love food. At SOCS we combine both of these to offer you the best humanity has to offer.
