Research Assistant – Motivation and Psychopathology Study at Washington University in St. Louis

PURPOSE:This position is for a full-time research technician (with benefits) to work on research project examining the neural and psychological causes of problems with motivation in individuals with psychiatric disorders such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and major depression.


PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Testing and scanning participants using task-based functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) and behavioral/cognitive/computerized testing, help with preprocessing and quality control of imaging and behavioral data, including data entry, help with recruitment of participants and perform other duties as assigned. Desired qualities are responsibility, attention to detail, and experience in research. Applications should have the equivalent of Bachelors in Psychology, Psychological & Brain Sciences, Neuroscience, or a related field.
