Undergraduate Summer Research Experience

Undergraduate Summer Training Opportunity in Neuroscience of Drug Addiction.  The University of Texas El Paso has an exciting opportunity for undergraduate students to participate in an 11-week summer research program (May 19-August 2) in the Neuroscience of Drug Abuse.  The students are paid a stipend, housing, and travel to and from El Paso.  Our program, entitled SMART MIND involves a training experience the research laboratory of one of our Neuroscience Faculty members. Students will also have the opportunity to interact with other faculty in our multidisciplinary Neuroscience research group through weekly seminars and social activities. They will also participate in a series of professional development workshops as part of a larger community of several summer research programs. Details about the program can be found at http://science.utep.edu/smartmind/  Please forward this email to undergraduate students who may be interested in this summer experience.  We are now taking applications via the website listed above.   Students majoring in biosciences, chemistry, psychology and related fields are welcome to apply.
