Position Open: Project Researcher

rovidence Children Museum and the Causality and Mind Lab at Brown University (PI: David Sobel) are seeking a Project Researcher for a National Science Foundation-funded project investigating ways children develop scientific thinking skills and parents’ understanding of their children's learning processes.  The Researcher will lead front-end and formative evaluation of tools intended to make children’s learning visible as they play and explore in the museum and assist in research on the development of scientific reasoning.

 

Qualifications include: Minimum 5 years experience in museums or other informal learning environment, including evaluation experience; Advanced degree or equivalent experience in education, developmental psychology, visitor studies, or related; Excellent research, writing and analytic skills.
