New Nursing resources

Hello everyone,

I often meet with students interested in first earning a non-nursing degree at IUB, and then going on to earn a second degree Bachelor of Science in Nursing elsewhere.

If you have students interested in learning more about the Nursing profession, feel free to direct them to http://hpplc.indiana.edu/ohp/ohp-n.shtml#explore. I've added a link which unearths an amazing list of resources on the Indiana Center for Nursing's new webpage (formerly Nursing2000inc.org). Shadowing of nurses can be difficult to arrange, so this list provides an additional way of researching the profession.

Also note that we recently revamped the section on contingency planning, which now includes a detailed but pretty straightforward description of the various routes a person might take to earning their RN: http://hpplc.indiana.edu/ohp/ohp-n.shtml#PLANAB

Finally, the site also includes links to lists of all accredited U.S. nursing programs http://hpplc.indiana.edu/ohp/ohp-n.shtml#a4. Other parts of the site have also been revised recently.

Best,
Eric
