On Friday, September 19th @
11:15 am in Simon Hall 001 Women in Science @ IU will be having a General
Grad Student Q&A Panel. This will be an opportunity to ask graduate
students and professional scientists from
Biology/Chemistry/Physics/etc.questions on topics relating to graduate school.
While the questions will come
from you, we expect the topics to include:
-- Advantages/Disadvantages to taking time off after undergraduate and what you can do during that time
-- How to pick an advisor/grad school/program
-- Choosing a PhD vs. Masters
-- Life out side of work
-- General grad school questions - what is it like, what does it entail, etc.
