Job Summary:
The Suicidal Behavior and
Psychopathology Laboratory at Auburn University is seeking a full-time Project
Coordinator to work on a Department of Defense funded study. The study is
investigating a novel treatment of suicidality for Service members.
The Project Coordinator will
work under the mentorship of Dr. Tracy Witte. This position will assist Dr.
Witte with all aspects of running the research study, including obtaining IRB
approval, managing and submitting relevant regulatory documents, collecting
data and running participants (including the collection of ECG data), following
up with participants, and scheduling participants.
**This is a limited term
appointment and would require a commitment through the end of February 2021,
contingent upon grant funding and performance.
This position will be located in
Auburn, Alabama until July 1st, 2019. After that date, the position will be
located on Joint Base LewisMcChord, which is near Tacoma, WA.
This position will involve some
reimbursable travel between Auburn, AL; Tacoma, WA; and Oxford, OH (two to
three trips per year).**
Salary Range: $35,000-$58,400
Minimum Qualifications:
Entry into the applicant pool
requires the following:
The ideal candidate will have a
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in psychology, neuroscience,
or related field OR be a graduating senior who will earn his/her degree by the
end of May 2019.
Ideal candidates should be very
detail oriented; have excellent oral and written communication skills; have
the ability to work independently as well as within a team setting on multiple
tasks; and be comfortable with multidisciplinary teams, diverse populations,
and military culture. Additionally, basic computer skills are required.

Desired Qualifications:
Experience with Qualtrics and
SPSS; Experience with psychophysiological data collection.
At least one year of experience
(i.e., two semesters) serving as a research assistant in a human subjects
laboratory is highly desired.
