5:30pm - 7:30pm
Ernie Pyle 206 and 214
(Panel
begins at 5:30 p.m. Open Mic begins at 6:30 p.m.)
Every person has a
unique story to tell, including you. Only you have your memories, your cultural
heritage, your experiences, and your dreams! But how can you tell that story so
that others will hear?
Come hear from
faculty in the Media School and the departments of English, Folklore and Ethnomusicology,
and Theatre to learn about how these disciplines train students to tell their
stories effectively and appreciate the stories of others. Professors from each
discipline will share their own stories and help you make connections to
careers that seek great storytellers.
After our panel,
some of IU’s own excellent student storytellers will kick-off our open mic
night. Come to hear the stories of others and start telling a story of your
own! Free pizza and great conversation will be provided.
College of Arts
and Sciences Discovery events help you explore the wide range of academic
programs available to you in the College of Arts and Sciences and the career
opportunities associated with them. Join us for one or more of these events and
find your future!
