Diversity Program
Program Overview: The
Freshmen Finance Diversity Program (FDP) is an initiative designed to increase
the diversity in Finance at Indiana University and in the financial services
industries. The program is sponsored by the Finance department and is led by
student leaders in several of the finance workshops, such as the Investment
Management, the Investment Banking, Commercial Real Estate, and Private Wealth
Workshops. A strong candidate will be self-motivated and have a strong desire
to learn.
Eligibility: The Finance
Diversity Program application is open to all Women, LGBTQ+, Underrepresented
Minority, and Veteran Freshmen across Indiana University. A Finance Major
is not required and students do not have to be currently enrolled in the Kelley
School of Business to apply. Candidates should have a 3.0+ GPA to be considered
for the program.
Curriculum: Once selected,
students will have access to the curriculum of the FDP. This curriculum
includes tutoring, seminars & case competitions, and potential trips to
Indianapolis, Chicago, and New York to network with firms in financial
services. Students will also receive individualized attention from student
mentors, professors, and finance professionals across industries.
