Job announcement:

Research Project Coordinator sought for social science and law research study being conducted through Indiana University, Bloomington.

Position Description: This study is funded by the Indiana Supreme Court and the Fatherhood Research and Practice Network funded study. It is a qualitative interview study evaluating the reasons for party compliance and noncompliance with completing court ordered online parent programs. This position involves organizing and tracking other research assistants to contact potential study participants. It also involves conducting interviews and supervising other research assistants as they conduct interviews. Also involves organizing and helping to enter and check data. As the project will continue until December 2018, priority will be given to applicants who intend to stay in the position through December 2018.

Number of Openings: One.

Hours and Pay: 20 hours per week; $10.15 per hour; no fringe benefits (e.g., no health insurance).

Days and Hours: Some flexibility but must work both during business hours (when the court is open) and be willing to work on some evenings and weekends (best times to call potential study participants).

Minimum Position Requirements:

·         Training in social science research.

·         Excellent organizational skills to manage data collection and track study cases.

·         Excellent interpersonal skills, as the coordinators will collaborate with the research team, judges, and other court personnel. Project coordinators will also conduct interviews with study participants, conduct participant payment, and extract information from court files.
