Job
Qualifications: Master’s degree in social sciences,
mental health, or related field is preferred; a minimum of bachelor’s degree
required in social sciences, mental health or related field. Minimum of 3 years
of progressive experience in program evaluation or applied research, preferably
with some project management experience.
Summary
of Job: To direct program evaluations for
federally-funded grant projects, including the development and implementation
of evaluation protocols and databases; training and supervision of staff in
data collection and management procedures; acting as a liaison between grant
officials, program staff, and the evaluation team; data analysis; preparation
of IRB applications and amendments, continuation applications, and evaluation
reports; and facilitation of utilization of evaluation findings.
Essential
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate knowledge of behavioral sciences and the federal guidelines for conducting human subject’s research.
- Implement evaluation studies to meet federal and state requirements, including basic evaluation design; IRB applications, amendments, and continuations; data collection; basic data analysis, interpretation, and reporting; and utilization of findings.
- Effectively coordinate and supervise the development and implementation of data collection and data entry procedures, including tracking, data entry, and data cleaning.
- Supervise the collection and management of data for analysis and dissemination.
- Prepare internal and external reports in a timely and accurate manner; provide ongoing reports for program improvement and facilitate the utilization of information by program management and staff.
- Successfully complete training and certification requirements for survey instrument if appropriate, efficiently train Research Associates and/or program staff on the instrument, and effectively supervise ongoing implementation of the measure.
- Effectively supervise staff through regular meetings, providing specific behavioral feedback and ensuring adequate orientation and training is received to complete job duties as specified.
- Successfully act as a liaison between grant funders, investigators, program and evaluation staff, and all other federal, state, and local collaborators, for the purposes of maintaining communication and accountability in the grant implementation process; maintain professional and effective relationships.
- Demonstrate flexibility, perform other duties as assigned.
- Regular and reliable attendance is required.
- Maintain federal grant reassessment rate of 80% or above.
- Manage submission of federal grant report evaluation sections to appropriate Centerstone staff.
