The Local Council of Women (LCW) and Bloomington Meadows
will collaborate in September to host a panel discussion about mental health
concerns in the Bloomington community. The Local Council of Women is a group
made up of male and female community leaders who offer a voice for local health
concerns. Bloomington Meadows is a freestanding psychiatric facility providing
a range of inpatient and outpatient psychiatric services to the Bloomington
community, as well as citizens from more than 50 other counties in central and
southern Indiana.
On September 18th, 2014, 11:30a- 1:00p, the event will
include lunch for attendees, a brief business meeting for the LCW, and then a
panel discussion. Mark Moore, President and CEO of IU Health Bloomington
Hospital, will present an update on the IU Health Bloomington Hospital.
Immediately following, the LCW will award the Cecilia Wahl Scholarship-a
scholarship given to local students pursuing traditional and non-traditional
careers in health care.
