Applications
are invited for a full-time position as Senior Research Technician in a
neuroendocrine and biobehavioral laboratory in the Department of Medicine.
The candidate will conduct research aimed at identifying and characterizing new
medications for the treatment of alcohol abuse and alcohol relapse.
Studies involve assessing pharmacologic and neuroendocrine factors that
influence the development of alcoholism using a rodent model of
alcoholism. Responsibilities include executing experimental protocols,
data collection and analysis, and literary tasks. The candidate will be
encouraged to take advantage of the tuition remission program available to
Indiana University School of Medicine employees.
Minimum
requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry,
Psychology, Neuroscience, or a related academic area. Experience with
animal research and statistical analyses desirable.
