Preparing for a Career in Healthcare Mini-Conference

The Career Development Center is planning a new mini-conference, Preparing for a Career in Healthcare, on Tuesday, February 23 from 6-8:15PM in the IMU Tree Suites (Dogwood, Persimmon, & Sassafras). This program is designed especially for University Division students (although all students are welcome) who are considering careers anywhere in the healthcare industry.

This mini-conference has three sessions that will run concurrently at 6PM, 6:35PM, and 7:10PM, so students can come to just one or all sessions. There will be a reception from 7:45-8:15 if they want to meet the panelists. We will have free refreshments and giveaways for the students throughout the event.

What – Free Career Fair Event For Big Ten students and alumni!  The www.bigtencareerexpo.com  is held whenever the Big Ten Basketball Tournaments are held in Indianapolis.

The Expo is open to both students and alumni from the 14 Big Ten schools seeking internships, permanent employment or recent college graduates looking to make a job change. Of participating employers, 83 percent at the last Expo indicated they would follow-up with and hire people they met.

PBS Involvement Fair


Mindfulness for Student and Professional Success Workshop


You are invited to attend the upcoming Mindfulness for Student and Professional Success workshop with IU Alum and Senior Manager of User Experience Design Research at eBay, Anne Mamaghani. Anne will gently expose participants to the practice and teach hands-on tricks for personal, academic and professional lives. The event details are as followed:

2016 UCLA Psychology Undergraduate Research Conference


The 2016 UCLA Psychology Undergraduate Research Conference (PURC) will be held on Friday, May 13, 2016 at UCLA and will showcase approximately 100 undergraduate psychology research projects in poster and paper talk sessions.

The organization is currently looking for a diverse representation of campuses and for high-quality abstracts written by undergraduate researchers. Students must submit the application and fees online by Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. The application and details are available at https://purc.psych.ucla.edu/ .
